coraline.

last year, i picked up a wonderful little book by neil gaiman, coraline. it was delightful read, a darkly imaginative story that was right up my alley. it’s a story of a little girl who moves into a flat with her parents. the new flat has twenty-one windows and fourteen doors. soon after they move in, coraline begins to explore…and that’s where the creepy fun begins…

well, to my delight, i have found out that this story will be made into a movie which will be directed by henry selick who i know from directing tim burton’s nightmare before christmas. it’s due out in 2009 and i can’t wait to see it…

there are a TON of great indie little websites out there (for a list of some, see my kaboodle indie shoppes list) but this little site, charcoal designs has this darling little seahorse set.

yes, i have to admit, it’s on my kaboodle wish list. seahorse set, $18 (brooch only, $14) from charcoaldesigns.com

i highly recommend checking charcoal designs out. great great nice things there! go and see.

who didn’t want to be alice at one point? my three and a half year daughter pretends to be here constantly complete with dress (courtesy of disneyland’s little princess shop it has there in fantasyland), black head band and shoes (sans blonde hair; she’s a brunette version). anyhow, gorey details is this great, kooky, strange, fascinating site with many great wonders but right now, i’m sharing one of there great little alice goodies, the alice pendant..
