coraline.
last year, i picked up a wonderful little book by neil gaiman, coraline. it was delightful read, a darkly imaginative story that was right up my alley. it’s a story of a little girl who moves into a flat with her parents. the new flat has twenty-one windows and fourteen doors. soon after they move in, coraline begins to explore…and that’s where the creepy fun begins…

well, to my delight, i have found out that this story will be made into a movie which will be directed by henry selick who i know from directing tim burton’s nightmare before christmas. it’s due out in 2009 and i can’t wait to see it…

looks like fun, doesn’t it?

i myself have read the book coraline by neil gaiman and i much enjoyed it, i have just seen the preview for the new movie coming out of the book, and to my dismay, it seemed nothing like the book, coraline should have brown hair and they made it seem like she was nothing like the comercial showed her as. it bugs me so that they do this to just about every book i have ever read that has been turned into a movie. they always change it. the looks are always wrong and the characters always act much different. for example i have read twilight and seen the movie. they were so different that i could say more stuff that was different then i could say was even remotely the same. im just saying that they always do this when they turn an amazing book into a movie they always make it much to different. not that i wont enjoy it, these are just my thoughts on the subject. thanks much, ~esm~
